Mother 3 is an Awesome game. I own the gba copy and I have beat the translation too. After beating it, I now say that Mother 3 is better than EarthBound. Mother 3 has excellent gameplay, music, characters and story. I love it.

I played Mother 3, the one and ONLY game to get me to download an emulator just to play in english. It was AWESOME! However, I SLIGHTLY prefer Earthbound(Mother 2), Mother 3 falls a little short compared to Earthbound. I don't know what it is, Earthbound just has a charm that will never be matched, for me at least. Mother 3 is still pure awesome though.
