You can watch a topic by one of these two ways:
1) Go to the bottom right on any topic and click on "Watch this topic for replies" and you will automactically be watching a topic.
2) If your making or replying to a topic, under options, leave a check next too "Notify me when a reply is posted"

I personally just click "view posts since last visit" every time I come here, it's the handiest thing
