Greetings
What's up!!! I was sent this forum in a private message from "IWillAlwayzSub" on Youtube. My youtube link is www.youtube.com/neskid64 I am obsessed with Nintendo!
I've been gaming ever since I came out of the womb. When I was a toddler, I would watch my dad play through The Legend of Zelda. When I got older, I started playing Mario titles here and there, my favorite being SMB2 (as a kid). Now my favorite Mario game is the rarely seen/discussed Super Mario Bros. 2: Japan version, which was rebadged as the Lost Levels game for SNES in All-Stars. I've actually made a remake of Lost Levels, and recorded a video for it on youtube on my other acct:
Anyways, I'm just trying to illustrate I've been around video games for awile. Eventually I moved on to a Genesis, then to a N64, then expanded my horizons jumping ship to Sony when I got my PSX, then my PS2, and Xbox. I've stayed true to my heritage, picking up a Wii on launch almost two years ago this November, and my last console purchase was an Xbox360 last year (in Nov, coincidentally). I've got a few handhelds, and my PSP is loaded with my favorite NES/SNES classics in ROM form.
In high school, I took a few courses in programming. I'd always wanted to make games, and using programs like Gamemaker and Dark basic I figured it would be an awesome idea for a career. Although I did very well in my Computer Science I and II courses, it burned me out. Sitting in front of C++ and just being frustrated over the littlest errors and things like that turned me away. That basically halted my aspirations for a career in gaming, so now I basically just play for fun
Anyways, just figured I'd give you guys a little background as opposed to blatantly saying "Hey, I'm new." I'm in the process of archiving all of my older NES/N64 games by recording gameplay videos as well as walkthrough videos onto youtube, so Subscribe or if you don't want to sub, at least add me as a friend. I love talking about video games with other people and its been a huge part of my life in terms of a pasttime/hobby. So, that was my little intro. Thanks for reading!
