Need help with bird

Today at work I saw a young mynah bird flapping around on the ground, I picked it up and showed it to my co-workers, it's unable to move its legs but tries it's hardest to fly. My co-workers were going to kill it (I could by the way they were laughing that it wouldn't have been humane) and told Adam that I'd take care of it, he gave me the bird and I kept it in a box at work and fed it bread soaked in water when not serving customers. It still can't move it's legs and I don't know how to properly care for it, it seems not in any pain and accepts food (the bread I've now substituted with soaked dog food, apperntly this is good for fledglings), but I don't know what to do... I"m taking him to the vet whenever I have the chance but my dad can't take me because he works late, I want to help him out as much as I can, I named him Val... If anyone knows anything about bird could you please help me out?

Woohoo, he's doing okay! I had to go to school today for 6 hours and I left him with some food and water and he survived, yay, lol, now to try to figure out how to fix those little legs...

He's now passed on, I'm somewhat glad in a way that he's now free of pain, but it was sad to see him go, at least now he's safe, RIP Val
